I assumed that I would find several excellent cross-platform note taking applications to choose from. I spent a lot of time searching high and low for a fully digital solution. I know that my setup is not earth shattering. Then, at the end of the day, I type my notes from my physical notebook in to OneNote for searchability. I use Boostnote for programming notes / Markdown. The web client is good enough if I need to read notes on linux. I use a system similar to a bullet journal. The abbreviated version of my setup is this:ĪmazonBasics dotted notebook as my primary note taking device. What I found was that by separating my two use cases - web clipping and Markdown/Gist-like notes - I was able to find a sweet spot (for now). I wanted the app to be cross platform (macOS/win10/Arch (Gnome)). I recently went farther down the note-taking rabbit hole than I care to admit. ![]()
